About
I am a freelance motion designer living in Bristol UK. I work on projects for clients including the BBC, Netflix, National Geographic & Apple TV. I’ve also created unique screen content for live shows such as the BRIT Awards & MTV as well as museum installations across the world.
A showreel of my commercial and broadcast content is available here.
I am continually experimenting with new ideas and visual techniques, which feed in to my music videos and short films.

Process
I take simple elements and then stretch, compress, duplicate and offset to create new arrangements. For example, focusing on a single column of pixels to get an isolated look at the colours shifting up and down through a sequence of video.
I work primarily in After Effects using expressions to control compositions. I am currently arranging things into grids to look for patterns that may be hidden from view. I am using variables from the real world to offset the time and position of basic elements.
